Embossed Copper Foil Adhesive Tape
Introduce
Embossed copper foil adhesive tape is embsossed copper foil and backing with acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive and liner. Embossing makes excellent contact through the adhesive. The unplated copper is for non-corrosive conditions. Acrylic adhesive has good resistance to heat, oxidation, solvents and oils.
This embossed copper foil adhesive tape is designed for a variety of applications: point-to-point electrical contact, EMI/RFI shielding, grounding and static charge draining. These tapes can used in both electronic & electrical devices, shielded rooms and EMI test laboratories for prototyping, design and troubleshooting.
Features and Benefits
· Dead soft 1-ounce (1.4-mil) copper foil backing for good shielding effectiveness, soldering and converting (slitting and die cutting).
· Embossed pattern through adhesive provides very low contact resistance between the substrate and the backing to drain static charge.
· Acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive has good resistance to heat, oxidation, solvents and oils.
· Removable liner makes it easy to handle and die cut complex shapes.
Suggested Applications
· Commonly used for RFI/EMI (radio-frequency interference or electromagnetic interference) shielding and ESD (electrostatic discharge) grounding for components, integrated circuits, connectors, cables, motors, equipment enclosures/cabinets and shielded rooms.
· Conductive circuit or bus bar for low voltage applications
· Used in jobs requiring high conductivity or shielding effectiveness for a given thickness.
· Best used in non-corrosive environments.
